Dallas Symphony Orchestra Presents Free Summer Concerts
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce that it will be hosting a series of five concerts in various parks throughout the city this summer. The annual Flag Pole Hill concert is set to kick off this event on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29th, and will feature a repertoire of classic songs for the audience to enjoy.
This free to attend outdoor concert series will feature a variety of family-friendly events for all to enjoy, with the first concert starting promptly at 8:15 pm, followed by a colorful fireworks display to cap off the night. The concerts will take place at Flag Pole Hill, Campbell Green Park, Exall Park, Kidd Springs Park, and Paul Quinn College. Each location was specifically chosen for its picturesque setting and complementing acoustics, adding to the overall experience for the attendees.
On June 1st, the series will continue at Exall Park, located near downtown Dallas, where patrons will be treated to a delightful evening of classical music that is sure to please. The series will then head to Campbell Green Park on June 6th, located in Far North Dallas. Here, attendees can relax and enjoy the serene surroundings while listening to the symphony in the open air.
On June 8th, the concert series moves to Kidd Springs Park in Oak Cliff. This park provides the perfect setting for a night of musical entertainment and will host families and friends for a memorable experience. Paul Quinn College will play host to the final concert in the series on June 13th, which will be conducted by the renowned Maurice Cohn.
This year’s Parks Concerts are sponsored by the Methodist Dallas Medical Center and are supported in part by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.
