Frisco Family Services To Host Food Drive
Frisco, Texas – The humanitarian organization known as Frisco Family Services is making an earnest appeal to local residents for an augmentation of their food bank donations.
Reports from the organization reveal a significant seasonal depletion of food bank reserves. The escalating demand is attributed mainly to the sustenance needs of approximately 8,500 local children. These beneficiaries of free or subsidized school meals often grapple with the challenge of securing adequate nutrition during the summer hiatus.
To counteract this crisis, Frisco Family Services is choreographing an exhaustive food and contribution drive. Slated for June 3, the event will span from the morning hour of 10 till 3 in the afternoon. The institution beckons the community to drop off their contributions at 9085 Dogwood, strategically located opposite Frisco Resale.
Frisco Family Services is urgently soliciting food items including, but not limited to: pasta and its accompanying sauce, canned proteins, instant meal helpers, macaroni and cheese, assorted milk substitutes, a variety of condiments, jelly or jam, basic baking supplies, bread, snack boxes, juice boxes, and bottled water.
In addition to the aforementioned food necessities, the organization is also inviting contributions of essential non-food items. Such items encompass personal hygiene products and household cleaning supplies, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bath soap, deodorant, facial cleanser, feminine hygiene products, laundry detergent, and dish soap.
For benefactors desirous of regular contributions, Frisco Family Services intends to release their operational hours in due course. Currently, their doors open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, with an extended schedule on Wednesdays until 6 p.m.
Established in 1994 by a compassionate cohort of local residents, the non-profit Frisco Family Services steadfastly upholds its mission of supporting the Frisco community and Frisco ISD through crises such as hunger and homelessness. This year, their munificence has touched more than 4,100 individuals, furnished nearly 730,000 meals via the Frisco Family Services Market, and channeled in excess of $1.9 million towards annual programs.
Beyond financial and material assistance, the organization heartily welcomes individuals desirous of donating their time. Opportunities to volunteer abound, notably at Frisco Resale and the market. For additional enlightenment on this noble cause, please consult the provided link.
