HEB announces opening date for their North Texas location

Dallas, Texas – After months of anticipation, it appears HEB is finally ready to begin construction on their next DFW location. The Texas-based grocery store chain recently announced they will break ground on their second Frisco location next month. The store located in eastern Denton County near Little Elm is expected to open in 2024.

With two locations already open and five more currently planned for the metroplex, HEB is quickly becoming a North Texas favorite. Now, one of those five planned stores is set to begin construction at U.S. 380 W. University and FM 423 or Gee Road.

“This new store builds on the company’s longstanding presence in the area and reinforces its commitment to serve more customers in this dynamic and growing part of Texas,” said Mabrie Jackson, senior director of public affairs for H-E-B.

According to WFAA, the other planned HEB locations are in Allen, Alliance (Fort Worth), Mansfield, and McKinney. While no official opening date has been announced, the latest store should open in late 2024. Soon, the metroplex won’t remember a time without HEB.
