Man killed and two injured in north Fort Worth parking lot shooting near Meacham International Airport as detectives search for suspects

Fort Worth, Texas – A man was fatally shot and two others were injured early Sunday morning in a parking lot in north Fort Worth, according to police.

Officers were dispatched around 3:40 a.m. to the 1200 block of Northwest 35th Street, near Fort Worth Meacham International Airport. The call led them to a business at 1211 Northwest 35th St., where they found one person suffering from what authorities described as an apparent gunshot wound. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said two additional people connected to the shooting later arrived at local hospitals with injuries. Their conditions have not been released. Investigators believe the violence erupted after a large group had gathered outside in the parking lot. At some point, a fight broke out. During the altercation, gunfire rang out.

Exactly what triggered the dispute remains under investigation. Homicide detectives are continuing to piece together the sequence of events and determine who was involved. No arrests had been announced as of Sunday, and police have not released details about any potential suspects.

The identity of the person who was killed will be made public by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office once next of kin have been notified.

The deadly shooting marked one of three separate gun-related incidents reported across Fort Worth within a span of several hours Sunday morning.

Earlier, around 2 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire near a bar in east Fort Worth. That shooting occurred near The Men’s Club in the 4900 block of Mansfield Highway. According to police, three people were transported to hospitals following that incident. Authorities are working to identify those responsible.

Later in the morning, shortly after 8 a.m., officers were called to a robbery at the Stop N Save convenience store located at 5053 North Hampshire Boulevard. During that incident, a store employee was shot and critically injured, police said. The circumstances surrounding the robbery and shooting remain under investigation.

With three shootings unfolding in different parts of the city within hours of each other, investigators are actively pursuing leads in each case. At this time, police have not indicated whether any of the incidents are connected.
