Destined for Frisco Station—a sprawling 242-acre mixed-use enclave situated in the rapidly developing community to the north of Dallas—Pickle and Social aims to become a multifaceted recreational hub. Not merely content to offer indoor and outdoor pickleball courts, the establishment will additionally feature a potpourri of leisure activities, ranging from a putting green and beach volleyball courts to yard games and ping-pong tables. The synergy between these venues is poised to elevate the recreational landscape in a region already awash with burgeoning entertainment options.
“As one of the fastest growing cities in America, it’s fitting for Frisco to become a destination for pickleball,” Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney said in a prepared statement.
“Our residents have been asking for more pickleball courts for quite some time, so I’m confident this concept will be popular with locals and visitors alike. We’re a community with an active lifestyle and look forward to this concept complimenting Frisco Station’s development.”
On a parallel track, Utah-based The Picklr divulged its ambitious national rollout strategy earlier this week. The indoor pickleball facility has set its sights on a sextet of new venues, strategically dispersed across Austin and the Dallas-Fort Worth conurbation. However, the company remained reticent about specific timelines pertaining to the Dallas-Fort Worth locations, opting to keep the prospective opening dates under wraps for the time being.
“In coming on board to expand The Picklr, our new partners see the value of making this sport accessible and enjoyable to people across the country,” Jorge Baargan, founder and CEO of The Picklr, said in a prepared statement.
“The Picklr stands out among our competition through high-end facilities and our unique sense of community that is evident to anyone lucky enough to be a part of The Picklr, whether as a member, competitor or now our new franchisees.”
