In the southern US city of Fort Worth, Texas, a child has been tragically killed and another injured following a shooting at an apartment complex on Sunday. Police authorities report that the incident occurred just before 1:15 p.m. in the 2900 block of Broadmoor Drive and that two juvenile victims were discovered in a breezeway with gunshot injuries upon arrival of responding officers.
The child who was pronounced dead was found on the scene, while the other victim was transported to a nearby medical facility. The latter’s current condition remains undisclosed. The victims’ ages have also not been made public. Law enforcement officials believe that the pair were together when they were approached by three suspected assailants who proceeded to fire their weapons at them.
According to investigators, at least one of the suspects brandished a firearm, resulting in both children being shot.
