Speaking to a crowd of thousands, Trump vowed to be the “retribution” of the MAGA movement and prevent the country’s apparent trajectory towards World War III.
Amidst the fervent chants and signs of his supporters, Trump pledged to conduct the largest deportation operation in the history of the United States by increasing the number of border enforcement officers. He also promised to restore the emergency health order, Title 42, that he initiated at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, but was later cancelled by the Biden administration.
Trump also vowed to end Russia’s invasion of Ukraine within one day of beginning his administration, and predicted that Russia would eventually take over Ukraine. He also used the platform to criticize other Republican rivals, especially Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, whom he accused of declining the state’s fortune.
The crowd roared with approval when Trump pledged to keep men out of women’s sports and abolish critical race theory from America’s schools. Trump portrayed himself as the victim of politicized attacks, especially by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who is currently conducting an investigation into the alleged hush payments made to an adult film star.
The event drew supporters from far and wide, including Rick Taylor, who drove two hours from Comanche to attend the rally. Taylor said that Trump is the only person capable of taking on Washington in the times that the country is currently in. He believes that Trump needs to rid the swamp of corrupt politicians and preserve American freedom.
