A fast-growing North Texas video game developer opens office in Plano

Plano, Texas – Stray Kite Studios LLC, a dynamic North Texas video game developer known for collaborations with industry giants such as Gearbox Software, Epic Games, and Robot Entertainment, is on an upward trajectory.

The developer, founded in 2018, is making strides with a significant expansion, relocating its headquarters to a larger facility in Plano from its prior smaller setup in Richardson.

The new office for Stray Kite Studios will be nestled in the bustling Village 121 mixed-use complex at 8261 Belleview Drive, conveniently situated near State Highway 121. This move signifies a substantial upgrade in space.

“Our new space in Plano will be significantly larger than our previous,” Stray Kite Studios’ Kyle Stephenson said in an email. “The new one will be about 8,000 square feet, where the old one was roughly 1,500 square feet.”

O’Brien Architects from Dallas have been commissioned to design the new workspace, as indicated by state-filed planning documents. Jaya Godhwani Patel from Beam Real Estate successfully negotiated the lease.

The new premises, owned by Lincoln Property Co., are located at the southwest intersection of Highway 121 and Preston Road. Lincoln’s representatives, Michael A. Peinado and Tom Kuhlmann, handled the property lease.

Constructed in 2019, the building boasts outdoor tenant space and is a stone’s throw away from a variety of eateries and retail outlets, providing additional convenience and amenity for the employees.
