Daiso, Modern Animal and HHM Health set to start business operations in the Dallas Metro area soon
Dallas, Texas – Tens of businesses decided to move their headquarters or simply open offices in the Dallas metro area in recent months. One of the companies that is heavily investing and aggressively opens stores across the North Texas area in recent years is the grocery giant H-E-B. The company is expanding its presence in North Texas and despite opening several stores recently, several more are about to be opened by the end of this and next year.
But H-E-B is only one of many companies that decided to start business operations in Dallas and North Texas. According to a recent report by Dallas Metro News, the nationally renowned multi-disciplinary engineering company, Westwood, has announced a strategic repositioning of its operational base from Minnesota to Plano by the close of the current year. Previously, Hughes Marino, a California real estate firm, confirmed opening an office in Dallas.
Many more companies have announced their plans to start business operations in the area which is yet another confirmation that North Texas is slowly but surely becoming a real business hub in United States. Daiso
Esteemed Japanese dollar store, Daiso, is set to grace the Mockingbird Commons shopping complex in Lakewood with its presence this autumn. The imminent arrival of the globally-renowned retailer at 6333 E. Mockingbird Lane, Ste. 141, is confirmed by both the shopping center’s site plan and a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The department’s filings unveil an ambitious construction timeline that aims to transform the space from mid-July to mid-September. However, as of now, the company remains elusive, declining to authenticate this aggressive schedule.
Daiso’s forthcoming storefront will house an eclectic mix of offerings ranging from home décor, kitchenware, beauty supplies, and Asian snacks to stationery, gift wrapping solutions, greeting cards, electronics accessories, and pet supplies. According to Daiso’s official website, a significant portion – over 40% – of its inventory is comprised of imported goods from various Asian nations such as China, South Korea, and Japan. Modern Animal
In a similar vein, Modern Animal, a veterinary company with roots in Los Angeles, is making preparations to inaugurate a new clinic in Lakewood towards the summer’s end. Despite initial anticipations of a June opening, the launch has been rescheduled to August 28, as per the company’s website. The impending clinic plans to cater to the comprehensive pet care needs of the community, offering a spectrum of primary and preventive care options, encompassing surgery, dental care, wellness examinations, microchipping, spay and neuter services. The company also extends virtual care for those who prefer remote consultations.

HHM Health
Lake Highlands-based nonprofit, HHM Health, in conjunction with Hope Cottage, another nonprofit, is poised to amplify its footprint in east Dallas with a new maternal health clinic. This collaborative effort aims to provide vital prenatal care to underserved demographics. HHM Health pledges to offer affordable pregnancy testing, Medicaid enrollment, and prenatal care. Concurrently, Hope Cottage is committed to offering a myriad of resources, such as parenting education, case management, and community resource access during and post-pregnancies. It also promises to provide adoption information and counseling for potential parents.
