Future pre-K and kindergarten parents, mark your calendars! The registration process for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year is set to open on Monday, April 3, and will be available online. The process begins at 9 a.m., so make sure to visit the website to secure your spot.

As you prepare to enroll your child for pre-K or kindergarten, you may have some pressing questions in mind. Fortunately, the Arlington Independent School District has provided vital information on a number of crucial dates and details pertaining to the enrollment process.

One of the most important dates to mark on your calendar is April 4, which is the Pre-K and Kindergarten Signing Day. This event offers the opportunity to visit your child’s school, celebrate their milestone educational achievement with a fun photo, and even explore a pre-K or kindergarten classroom.

Many additional registration-support events will be available in the coming weeks, including All Aboard on April 22 and the Pre-K/Kinder Showcase at Webb Elementary on May 11. Parents can also look forward to the annual Pre-K Palooza, which offers kids various fun activities, including train rides, raffles, food and more registration support.

Even with so much on offer, you may have lingering questions about the process. But don’t worry: Arlington ISD has got you covered. There are a host of resources to help parents understand the registration process and handle any questions they may have. If you experience any issues, please email [email protected], or contact your child’s school.

Documents required for registration include the student’s original birth certificate, photo ID of parent/guardian, proof of address, current immunization record, the student’s Social Security card, and a report card from the student’s previous school. Parents are advised to double-check that they have all necessary documents ready for submission.

Meet the Teacher is another essential event where parents get the opportunity to meet and interact with their child’s teachers, as well as view the classroom before classes begin. Rest assured, the date for Meet the Teacher will be scheduled by your child’s school.

The Arlington ISD pre-K webpage and the kindergarten webpage provide additional helpful information, as well as pre-K and kindergarten FAQs to help answer any additional questions. You can also reach out to the early childhood learning team for assistance at [email protected], [email protected], or by phone at (682) 867-9418.

With these valuable resources and an array of exciting events available, parents are set to make the enrollment process a smooth and exciting experience for their little learners. Let’s take advantage of these resources and proceed with confidence to ensure our children’s bright academic futures!
