Sara Terry joins Pacific Elm Properties, leaves Colliers

Sara Terry, an esteemed brokerage professional and expert in the urban Dallas market, has announced her resignation from her highly regarded role as executive vice president and director of agency leasing with Colliers DFW. Terry is set to join Pacific Elm Properties, prestigious executive team, as its newly appointed chief marketing officer.

In a statement regarding the move, Terry acknowledged the impressive growth that Pacific Elm Properties has achieved over the years, citing their unique company culture as a key factor that drew her to the firm. She stated, “They have a great culture, and I’m looking forward to being part of it.”

The move comes at a pivotal moment for Pacific Elm Properties, part of Woods Capital, as the firm aims to expand its presence in Dallas. The company recently acquired Saint Paul Place – a towering 22-story building located at 750 N. St. Paul Street in the Dallas Arts District – for a reported $66.7 million. With this significant acquisition, Pacific Elm Properties’ impressive portfolio now amounts to 6.5 million square feet of space, including iconic buildings such as Comerica Bank Tower, Bryan Tower, and Santander Tower located in downtown Dallas, as well as nine acres of developable land in Uptown and downtown.

In a testament to Terry’s outstanding capabilities and proven track record, Pacific Elm Properties’ founder, Jonas Woods, acknowledged that the firm recognized the opportunity to strengthen its in-house capabilities and leadership, leading to Terry being a natural choice for its newly created chief marketing officer position. Terry will oversee all aspects of brand development, marketing, advertising, and leasing activities for the firm, and her exceptional talent and experience will complement the team, Woods said.

Prior to joining Pacific Elm Properties, Terry had made significant contributions to the expansion of Colliers’ agency leasing footprint by over 8 million square feet in just three years. She moved to Dallas in 2014 from Atlanta to join Stream Realty Partners where she brokered over 1 million square feet in office leases, Terry has also been recognized as one of the most influential business leaders in Dallas-Fort Worth by making it to the 2022 edition of the Dallas 500 publication by D CEO. Additionally, she has been actively involved in the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Dallas and CREW Network organizations for the past 18 years.

In an interview included in the Dallas 500 publication, Terry expressed her immense passion for her career and her genuine desire to help her clients realize the full potential of their office buildings through renovations, marketing, and storytelling. Terry’s appointment as chief marketing officer at Pacific Elm Properties promises to bring in significant growth opportunities, with her exceptional track record and exceptional capabilities.

Evidently, this significant move signals the beginning of a new chapter in Terry’s flourishing career as she joins Pacific Elm Properties’ executive team to further contribute to their continued success.
