United Pacific Industries to build new facility in McKinney for auto parts production.
United Pacific Industries, a California-based manufacturer of automotive parts and products for both commercial trucks and classic cars, is all set to establish its new operations facility in McKinney, Texas later this year. The company announced this news in a press release as it prepares to occupy a new 280,000-square-foot facility in Core5 Logistics Center located in the northern part of McKinney at 3827 N. McDonald St.
According to the press release, the new facility will serve as an additional operations base to meet the growing warehouse and freight needs of the company. In addition, United Pacific Industries also supplies parts to various automotive manufacturers like Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt and Volvo. This new space will provide easy access to nearby airports and roadway corridors along with efficient loading configurations, boosting warehouse operations for the company.
Dan Spika of Henry S. Miller Cos., the commercial real estate firm representing United Pacific Industries in the acquisition of the facility, highlighted the challenges the company faced while looking for a strong location. “We scoured North Texas searching for a strong location for [United Pacific Industries], and this turned out to be the best location just off [of] U.S. Highway 75,” said Spika.
Moreover, Spika stated that the location will offer the company easier access to crucial transportation routes. “In the last three to four years, there have been 300-plus companies that have moved to the Dallas area from the West Coast. It’s a lot easier to do business here than in California. There is a lot of land here, and we are just a three-hour flight to either coast,” he said.
The company is expected to move into its new facility during the second quarter of this year, according to the press release. United Pacific Industries has been expanding its operations in multiple states, recently announcing its acquisition of an 80,000-sq-ft warehouse facility in its home state of California.
With this relocation, United Pacific Industries will bring a new age of possibilities to McKinney, Texas, through its establishment of a state-of-the-art operations facility in one of the busiest and most affluent cities in the state. The company aims to continue its legacy of providing high-quality automotive products and parts and expanding its footprint in Texas.
