Dallas man is facing murder charges for deadly shooting incident that stemmed from an altercation

Dallas, Texas – In the wake of a fatal altercation, a man is set to face charges for alleged murder, as disclosed by the Dallas Police Department. The incident, spiraling from a dispute into a fatal shooting, transpired on Hartsdale Drive on the 24th of June, 2023.

Officers from the Dallas Police Department, responding to a distress call emanating from the 1100 block of Hartsdale Drive, were met with a grim discovery. A man had fallen victim to a gunshot, his life pronounced extinct by Dallas Fire-Rescue, preceding his subsequent transportation to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office. An autopsy was set in motion, as part of the procedure to unravel the circumstances shrouding his demise.

Probing into the preliminary stages of the investigation, law enforcement uncovered that a heated verbal exchange had unraveled into a tempest of violence between Alcides Solano, a 51-year-old man, and the unnamed victim, culminating in the fatal shooting. On June 26, 2023, the autopsy corroborated the suspicions that had been cast upon the nature of the death, establishing it as a homicide.

Solano, who had previously stood accused of an aggravated assault charge, now sees himself ensnared in the far graver accusation of murder. Presently, he is confined within the austere walls of the Dallas County Jail.

With the case christened with the identifier 115777-2023, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office is vested with the task of discerning the identity of the victim.
